Chartered on June 26th, 1976

The Mu Eta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was organized here at the Pennsylvania State University on June 26, 1976. As a "Community Conscience, Action-Oriented Organization," the Mu Eta Chapter strives to uphold the principles of Service, Scholarship, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood set forth by our founders.

Locally, the Mu Eta Chapter sponsors a variety of programs including: Bridging the Gap, AIDS Certification, Annual Blue Revue to support the Lupus Foundation, Summit for Women of Color, Spaghetti Dinner and Spades Tournament, and the Mr. Black Penn State Pageant.

While we build on the past, it is critical that we plan for a Zeta future-one in which we will be recognized for the quality of work performed and the demonstration of a sincere commitment to a turbulent, struggling world.

Therefore, Mu Eta, along with the national organization at large, has committed itself to presenting programs in education, community volunteerism, drug and substance abuse prevention, health and wellness awareness, economic development, and governmental affairs.
